Four Juveniles Arrested After Violent Carjacking Spree in Lancaster

LOS ANGELES, CA –  Authorities said on Thursday that four minors were arrested after allegedly engaging on a violent crime spree that resulted in one individual sustaining serious injuries.

According to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, three carjackings were recorded in the city of Lancaster over a three-day period from January 16 to January 19.

The violent incidents took place in the 2300 block of Lancaster Boulevard, the 2000 block of East Avenue J, and the 800 block of East Avenue J.

According to sheriff’s officials, “A group of what appeared to be juvenile males brutally attacked the victims and stole their vehicles.” “One of the victims suffered serious injuries as a result of the attack.”

The Lancaster Community Appreciation Program team members from the sheriff’s department started looking into the string of carjackings and were able to determine the identities of the four juvenile suspects, who were all between the ages of 14 and 17.

According to investigators, all four of the teenagers were detained by deputies on January 30 and charged with carjacking and attempted murder.

The investigation into the occurrences is still in progress, and law enforcement officials are asking anybody who has information about the case or who may have seen one of the carjackings to get in touch with LASD Det. Benjamin Casebolt at 661-948-8466.
