It is said that a guy from Georgia shot one of his employees in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant after the two of them had a disagreement about their respective areas of responsibility.
Gwinnett County Police officers arrived to the incident in Lawrenceville on February 19, and Michael Allen Todd, who is 40 years old, did not put up any resistance to being arrested. After the death of his coworker Donald Stewart, who was 43 years old, Todd was charged with multiple charges, including felony murder and murder with malice. In a statement that was published on Facebook, the police stated that Todd was Stewart’s supervisor, and that the two of them had a disagreement regarding their employment.
In spite of the fact that the confrontation between the two men took place at a McDonald’s, the police made it quite obvious that neither of them worked at the restaurant, nor was the fight particularly about the establishment. The public was not provided with any information regarding their employment.
The call came in at approximately noon on February 19 and stated that someone had been shot at the McDonald’s restaurant located on Sugarloaf Parkway. The police responded to the incident. Stewart had been shot when the police arrived, and they discovered him with the wound. It was determined that he had passed away after he was transported to a hospital.
During the time that he was being questioned by law enforcement and ultimately taken into custody, Todd remains at the scene and is said to have been cooperative.
There was no explanation provided regarding the nature of the argument, other than the fact that it was connected to their place of employment. The shooting was described as an isolated occurrence by the police, and they confirmed that there were no other suspects.
The Gwinnett County Jail is where Todd is currently being held without bond after he was booked into the facility. Two counts of aggravated assault, one crime of murder with malice, one offense of felony murder, and one count of possession of a firearm during commission were among the charges that were brought against him.
