Preply conducted a study that found that the following causes were major contributions to this ranking: “lack of awareness in public, loudness in shared places, and rudeness to service staff.” The residents were asked to describe their experiences, and their response was used to determine the city’s rudeness scores.

Although California is frequently thought of as a place where people are relaxed and the weather is pleasant, six communities in the state were criticized for their rudeness.
