North Alabama (UBM)- According to the police, a man from northern Alabama was detained on Monday and accused with sexually abusing a youngster who was under the age of 12.
According to police spokesperson Joshua Meza, investigators from the Florence Police Department were informed of a case of sexual abuse involving a kid under the age of 12 on Friday.
According to Meza, detectives spoke to both the victim and the suspect and determined that there was enough evidence to issue an arrest warrant for Kenneth Lewis, 35, of Florence.
Lewis was taken into custody and charged with two charges of sexually abusing a kid who was younger than 12 years old.
A deposition that was submitted in Lauderdale County Circuit Court states that the Florence man informed the authorities that he was drunk when he touched the victim both under and over their clothes.
He was let go from the Lauderdale County jail after he paid a bond of $30,000.
