Husband Allegedly Stabs Wife 40 Times After Valentine’s Dinner Dispute, Sends Gruesome Photo

Indiana (TDMN)– After being dissatisfied with his wife’s response to his Valentine’s Day gestures, a guy in Indiana, who was 34 years old at the time, was arrested last week for allegedly killing his wife. He allegedly stabbed her forty times with a “big ass kitchen knife” and then sent a photo of her body to a man who he suspected she was having an affair with.

According to the papers examined, Taylor Meyer was arrested on Friday and charged with murder in connection with the death of Deborah Meyer, who was 36 years old.

After receiving a phone from a person who stated that Meyer’s wife was in danger, officers from the Jeffersonville Police Department responded to the residence of the couple in the 6600 block of Westwood Drive in the late hours of February 14, as stated in an affidavit that was based on probable cause.

An emergency dispatcher was informed by the caller that he had received a call from Deborah Meyer’s phone and that he could hear her pleading for assistance with her voice.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they knocked multiple times but did not obtain any answer despite their efforts. After driving to the Meyer residence and speaking with the police, the caller received a photo message from Deborah Meyer’s phone that showed her body lying on the floor. This was the moment when the caller received the message. After that, the police broke through the door and came face to face with an agitated Taylor Meyer.

In order to take Meyer into custody, the officers stated that they were required to utilize “control techniques.” Additionally, the body of Deborah Meyer was discovered inside the residence, along with three little children who were younger than five years old. It appeared as though Deborah Meyer had been stabbed around forty times, according to the authorities.

Meyer allegedly confessed to killing his wife during an interview with detectives. He is said to have explained that their marriage had been strained ever since he spotted a photo of her holding hands with another man in January. Meyer referred to the other man as her “co-worker.”

He told the police that he planned a “Bringing Paris to you” themed evening for Valentine’s Day, and that he had “his kids draw pictures of the Eiffel Tower as decorations.” Meyer stated that he had tried his best to pull out all the stops for Valentine’s Day.

As he was being interviewed, he is believed to have stated, “It was the most difficult thing I’ve ever attempted.” To put it simply, she didn’t give a s—.

Meyer stated that he and his wife had a disagreement at some point after supper, and that she left the house “right when [her] boyfriend [got] off work.” His words conveyed that he was “upset” at being back at home with the children.

“I have been staying home with the kids every Saturday night for the past two months while she goes and f—s whoever and lies to my face about it,” he stated, according to the affidavit. “I have been doing this for the past two months.”

According to him, she had been absent for roughly twenty minutes when she came back to the house. During the time that his wife was in the restroom, Meyer attempted to read her text messages on her “smart watch.” When she returned from the restroom, he asked that she hand over her mobile phone. Her refusal led to a physical altercation between the two of them.

“During the argument, she punched him in the face, and he grabbed her and took the cellular phone and told her, ‘I’m stronger than you,'” the document adds. “He stated that throughout the argument, she punched him in the face.” Meyer informed me during this initial interview at the hospital that it was “all wrestling and hitting, and I started choking her.” Meyer said this to me. I hit her with a wine bottle, and then I went and got the knife. She hit me with a water bottle, and I hit her with a wine bottle.

His wife allegedly continued begging him, “What are you going to do, kill me?” Meyer claims that she did this repeatedly. Would you be willing to cause me pain and then abandon our children without a parent?

Meyer claimed that after that, he put his wife to the ground and searched through her phone, making a call to her “boyfriend” and telling him, “It’s your f—ing fault.” Her “boyfriend” was the recipient of the call. He yelled out at his wife, “You want to destroy my marriage and tear my family apart,” as his wife was screaming in the background.

According to the allegations, Meyer resumed his practice of choking his wife and then proceeded to bash her in the head with a wine bottle multiple times until she became unconscious. The individual stated that he was uncertain as to whether or not she had passed away, but he proceeded to the kitchen and retrieved a “big ass kitchen knife, a long one,” which he then used to repeatedly stab her in the chest.

Following that, he allegedly texted a photograph of his wife’s body to her “boyfriend,” with the phrase “Your fault,” according to the police.

An examination by a medical examiner revealed that Deborah Meyer had been stabbed approximately forty times.

Without the possibility of bond, Meyer is currently being detained in custody at the Clark County Detention Center. Additionally, he has entered a plea of not guilty to the allegation of murder, and his court appearance is currently scheduled for March 18th.
