According to Old Line State police, a Maryland lady is incarcerated for strangling her 11-year-old daughter after killing the family’s dogs to frighten the youngster.
The Baltimore County Police Department has charged 34-year-old Keyona Dillon with one count of first-degree murder.
The mother of four faces horrifying and strange accusations.
After visiting a neighbor’s house in Middle River, a census-designated neighborhood that is a part of the larger Baltimore metro region, the defendant was taken into custody on Thursday. Dillon allegedly said that her 11-year-old daughter, London Olsen, had died in the family’s basement.
According to criminal records, cops responded to a 911 call regarding a cardiac arrest shortly before noon on that day.
The young girl was discovered with injuries all over her body and blood around her mouth inside the Firethorn Road home. Officers reported discovering blood on the floor next to the child’s body and a ligature mark on her neck.
Police suspect London was strangled with a plastic drain cleaner.
Law enforcement claims that when questioned about the child’s death, the defendant behaved strangely.
According to a statement of probable cause, “Keyona Dillon continued to exhibit erratic behavior, including exclamations about exposing child sex rings, transexuals, and the Proud Boys, after being transported to BCoPD Headquarters to be interviewed.” Keyona Dillon behaved strangely and said things about organizations that were attempting to set her up.
The story of the girl’s death became more apparent later.
“She believes that her eleven-year-old daughter … has been having sexual relations with the father of her other three children,” the charging documents continued. “Detectives did not find any evidence that Olsen was the victim of any type of sexual abuse and it should also be noted that detectives did not find any evidence of forced entry into the house nor had there been anyone else in the house other than Keyona Dillon and her children, including London Olsen.”
Four deceased pets were also discovered by the officers inside the house: two dead cats, one dead dog, and one dead rabbit.
Police claim that Dillon killed the animals in order to terrify London with “what would happen to her if she didn’t tell the truth” about the fabricated relationship with the girl’s father.
According to police, the defendant’s 5-year-old daughter admitted in an interview that she witnessed her mother killing the family’s dogs the night before the murder with a hammer and her knee. Additionally, the 5-year-old reportedly claimed to have witnessed her mother choking London in the basement.
The defendant made a number of demands and claims during Friday’s bond hearing.
“I’m representing myself,” Dillon reportedly stated. “Y’all violated my rights. I am an indigenous sovereign of the land. You collected DNA without my permission. You are violating my rights.”
She declined legal aid as well.
“I do not want to be represented by a public defender,” Dillon added. “I want to represent myself.”

At the end of the session, the presiding judge ordered a psychiatric examination.
The aunt of the deceased girl shared a heartbreaking account on Facebook about phoning child welfare officials for assistance for days after allegedly observing Dillon’s increasingly concerning behavior in the days leading up to the murder.

“I made numerous calls to local agencies and was repeatedly rerouted,” according to the girl’s aunt. “On January 22, 2025, someone within child protective services finally assisted in initiating a welfare check. Tragically, it was too late — London was found the following day. I am reaching out to you to help shed light on this matter. I am seeking to understand why immediate action was not taken despite clear signs of a crisis and my repeated efforts to secure help. My niece’s death might have been prevented had intervention occurred sooner.”
At the Baltimore County Detention Center, the defendant is being held without bond.
