A 19-year-old guy in California ran over and murdered a 16-year-old girl who was pregnant. The girl challenged him for having sex with her sister, who was underage. The incident was recorded by a neighbor’s doorbell camera, which captured the girl’s family’s heartbreaking reaction to the accused hit-and-run.
According to the authorities, Isaac Blackhorse Garcia, who lives in Riverside, is suspected of murdering the teenage girl on February 2 at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Sunday night. The neighbors observed the pregnant victim laying in the street after the suspected hit-and-run, and they witnessed the aftermath of the incident. Blackhorse Garcia is said to have fled the scene, and her relatives was seen on camera rushing to her side shortly after. The baby that the girl gave birth to in the hospital is in critical condition.
The victim’s family can be seen in the clip, which was obtained by KABC, the ABC affiliate in Los Angeles, running over and screaming in despair once they witness what happened.
Miriam Betamen, a neighbor, told KABC, “There was a car that just flew really fast through here.” “We saw a girl lying flat on the street.”
When the authorities arrived, they discovered the pregnant woman and quickly transported her to a nearby hospital, where she later died from “severe injuries.” According to a news release from the Riverside Police Department on Thursday, “The medical staff delivered her baby, who remains in critical condition.” “The officers found the vehicle of the suspect in Moreno Valley and arrested the driver.”
Investigators discovered that Blackhorse Garcia had been in a “sexual relationship” with the victim’s teenage sister while they were looking into the death of the pregnant teenager. According to the Riverside Police Department, “Family members approached his vehicle when he dropped the sister off at home.” Blackhorse Garcia then drove away quickly, hitting the victim with his automobile.
As of Friday, the baby of the girl was still in “critical condition” at a nearby children’s hospital, according to KABC. Residents informed the broadcaster that her mom walked around the area daily.
Christopher Garrett, a local, remembered, “We would see her walking through the neighborhood getting some exercise.” He added that he had seen the girl and one of her relatives the day before the tragedy occurred. “She and her sister were laughing.”
Blackhorse Garcia was taken into custody and placed in the Robert Presley Detention Center after being charged with murder, hit-and-run resulting in death, and unlawful intercourse with a minor. He was being detained in custody without the option of bail.
