A recent announcement that was issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles in the state of California will be a sound that certain customers will find to be very reassuring in light of this fact.

It is also possible for customers to submit their applications online, which will save the amount of time it takes to finish the process at the Department of Motor Vehicles office. This option is available to consumers.
Are there any individuals who will still be required to take a written examination in order to receive a driver’s license in the state of California?
To ensure compliance with the requirements to take a written test, first-time drivers and new residents of California will continue to be required to comply with the requirement.
Customers of any age who have a history of driving infractions are obliged to take a written knowledge test in order to renew their driver’s license. This requirement applies to customers who have a history of driving violations.
According to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), drivers who have driving histories that satisfy any of the following circumstances are nevertheless obliged to take the knowledge exam on a regular basis:
- You must have been involved in at least two accidents within the two years immediately before the expiration of your license in order to be eligible for additional insurance coverage.
- In the three years immediately preceding the expiration of the license, any three incidences that occurred within that time frame are regarded to be serious charges.
- a suspension for driving under the influence of alcohol for the two years immediately preceding the date on which the license would expire due to the fact that the incident occurred during that time period.
- Any violation point total that is greater than one within the two years immediately preceding the date on which the license is scheduled to expire is considered to be in breach of the license.
