COLUMBIA, South Carolina— For today, it is anticipated that a cold front will move across South Carolina; however, the likelihood of precipitation is extremely low.
The most significant effects of the front will be gusts of wind from the west reaching up to 30 miles per hour and a decrease in humidity in the afternoon.
It is possible that the combination will increase the risk of wildfires happening in the Midlands and Upstate South Carolina.
The Midlands are expected to experience gusts of up to 30 miles per hour as a cold front moves through the region.
Other than that, the day will be cloudy and significantly colder, with afternoon highs in the middle to upper 70s. There will be fluctuations in cloud cover.
As opposed to the previous couple of nights, tonight and tomorrow night will have lower temperatures, with lows ranging from the middle to upper 40s.
Wednesday, on the other hand, is going to be the coolest day of the week, with afternoon highs reaching into the mid 70s temperatures.
Beginning this coming Friday, we will see weather that is extremely warm for the time of year, and this trend will continue through the Easter weekend.
There is a good chance that the highs throughout this stretch will be in the middle to upper 80s.
It is expected to be an exceptionally warm Easter weekend, with high temperatures approaching 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
During the first half of the following week, it is anticipated that temperatures will continue to reach highs in the 80s.
When high pressure is in charge, there is almost little chance that it will rain for the next five to seven days.
By the middle of the following week, the weather can become more rainy.
